2026 sees the MG ZR, ZS & ZT range achieve a milestone in its fascinating history; one of ingenuity media success and quality marred with missed/lost opportunities and premature end.

To give these fine cars an anniversary fitting for a range of its caliber, Zed25 always set out to be something different, something truly memorable and relevant to the range’s history.

So, for Zed25, we’re going back to where for many, the love affair all began, South Wales, where,  in July 2001, the newly formed MG Rover Group launched the ZR, ZS and ZT to the press and dealer network.

Using the same venues and even routes as those driven 25 years ago, Zed25 will take participants through some of the best driving routes, and events at historically-significant venues, where you’ll get to hear from those involved in the design, build and launch of the cars!

Zed 25 will begin on Friday 3rd July 2026, at St David’s Hotel in Cardiff, both our base for the weekend, as it was for the launch. We’ll wrap the weekend up at Pembrey Circuit on Sunday 5th.

To ensure Zed25 can be celebrated by as many as possible, following the main event a range of smaller celebrations across the country will be held, organised either by the organisers, or partner clubs.
