“I am still extremely proud of what our small teams achieved (in an industry-beating short time frame too!) in developing 3 MG Saloons, 1 Tourer and 1 sports car, all of which did great justice to the MG Marque. This was a new period of ‘shackles-off’ exhilarating activity by the highly motivated teams who created real driver’s cars which were then appreciated by an equally enthusiastic press at launch 25 years ago.

Gratifying that all these years later so many of the cars have been cherished (and in many cases raced and rallied) by the very enthusiastic drivers we were aiming to attract at the start.

I am looking forward to re-living some of that excitement.”
